Introduction

Phytodepuration is a mini eco-system that can recycle and regenerate the waste water. This purification system:

· includes an organic system that purifies the used water from the washbasin and the shower before re-using.

·will reduce the waste of water

·is a water recycling process that is most commonly being used in ecological purification systems

·can be used even in remote areas where water problem is being considered as one of the vital ones.

Steps

The treatment process consists of :

1. A wastewater pre-treatment stage where there is the first and incomplete reduction of the pollution.

2. A natural biological depurative stage made up of an artificial little deep basins filled with inert material and fed with aquatic plants (macrophytes).

3. When the sewage goes by, microorganism come to life and initiate biochemical reactions which decompose polluting substances.

4. The microflora degrades the organic load of the sewage and transforms it in nutrients available for the system's vegetal species.

5. The pollutants are transformed in nutrients and eventually in vegetal biomass.
