A full moon loomed over the leafless branches. Their spiny limbs reached out as if to grab me. But I kept walking I knocked on the big, ugly door. My legs shook and I had a lump in my throat. I almost ran away, but then the door creaked open and then, a jester jumped out and scared the goosebumps out of me! I ran as fast as I could and then a zombie grabbed my leg. I fell to the ground thump! I screamed for help but nobody heard. But then, a man with a knife came and cut the zombies arm off and let me free. The man said “come with me” and that’s what I did. He took me to a base in the sewers. Though I thought this was the worst place to make a base number one it’s stinky and number two  there are supposed to be monsters there. As I walked in the revolving barrier at the entrance to the secret base, he put his fingerprint on the scanner and then the door opened.

I looked around the base and I said “epic base man”. Then he said “thanks”,  and I said “ No, thank you for saving my life.” After that I said “what’s your  name?” He said “Name’s John a.k.a. the monster slayer.” I said “my name’s Allan.” ”He showed me my room. I looked around and saw some nice pillows and a soft couch. I lade down. I asked John “how did this happen?” He said “Back then in the 1900’s there was a cowboy named the Devil.The Devil always wanted to make trouble, and once he messed with the book of life and he wrote something in it. He wrote “Death will fall upon us.” “Then the world made a holiday called Halloween and today is the Devil's birthday. On his birthday monsters rose out of the grounds and destroyed buildings. Also zombies and other monsters were roaming around the town.” I said “but how come we’re the only ones alive.” John said “I don’t know if we’re the only ones alive.”

He handed me coke as I laid on the couch . I said “thanks.” I said “tell me more about you John.” He said “ I lived with my grandma and grandpa. One day when I had shooting practice and I came home. I saw zombies in my house and came in. I saw two zombies. I didn’t want to think about it but, did my grandmother and my grandfather turn into zombies? I ran down my block and into the sewers. After that I went to other houses and stole furniture and food. And I've been doing this the past 24 hours.” I said “so that’s your story. Well here’s my story, I was sitting in my house doing homework when I heard people screaming and yelling outside. I was in a shock that I panicked and hid myself. After one day I didn’t hear anybody screaming or yelling, so I thought everything was okay and went trick or treating since it was halloween. I said “so that’s your story.

I went up to the big ugly old house and knocked, and then a jester jumped out and scared me. Then I ran and a zombie held my leg and I fell and that’s where you come in and saved me.” John said that “ it is a monster apocalypse and we have to survive.”He gave me a samsung camera and said “take this, take photo’s of the monsters so I could research them and find a way to defeat them.” I took them and I also took a monster slaying sword. I asked John “where did you get a monster slaying sword?” He said “I borrowed it from the weapon store and also I borrowed grenades and some other dangerous things.”

He handed me the grenades as I went out of the base. He said “the base code is 1551 don’t forget.” I climbed up the ladder and entered the real world. I saw monsters on buildings and like one thousand zombies walking around. I rushed through the zombie crowd with my monster slaying sword and went to the other side of the building to take pictures of the monsters. The first monster that I took a picture of was Bullfrog Nightmare. Well, you might ask why I named it that. I named it that because, it looks like a bullfrog except it’s toxic and black. The second monster that I took pictures of was, the Mutant Disco. The mutant disco dances while destroying everything. Finally the last monster is called the Nearx. Nearx had the power to teleport so we had to be careful, you never know when it’s going to sneak up on us. After dawn I went back to the base. I entered the sewers and did what John told me.

I put in the code 1551 and the barrier opened. I saw John working on something. I went up to him and saw him working on new weapons.I said “ are you working on new weapons?” “Yes we have to be prepared for the apocalypse.” He said. I went to make me food. I made a sandwich that had boloney, pepperoni, and hot sauce in it. After that I went in my room and went to bed. The next morning I woke up and I saw John sleeping on his desk. I thought that John worked all night but, when he woke up he said, “I looked through the pictures that you took and I noticed that Nearx is possible to stop teleporting when he has sunlight in the way.”I said “so we have a chance of winning?” He said “we might have a chance.” I went to brush my teeth in the bathroom.” John made me eggs for breakfast. I asked John, “Where are we going to eat if, we don’t have a table?” John said, “Eat on your desk.”

I said, “ I have a desk?” John said, “Oh yeah I forgot to show it to you.” I followed John into my room, and John pulled the lever that was hidden behind my bed, and then on my right I saw blocks evaporating and making a doorway to a hidden passage, and in the passage I saw a beautiful table. I walked to the table and sat down in a chair, and started eating my food that John cooked me. I said John this table is beautiful.” John said, “Thanks I made this myself.” I said, “Are you sure you didn’t steal it.” He said, “ This, I didn’t steal.” I finished my food while John was making his way to the kitchen. I walked to the kitchen, and placed my plate in the sink. After that I went to my room and grabbed my sketchbook and started drawing. I drawed the monsters and zombies. This is what they looked like
