My name is Barry and I'm a teddy bear. I live in a toy shop and I love to meet all the children that come in to play.

Every day I watch as kids leave with new teddy bears, but I'm never chosen.

Why am I not getting picked?! Maybe it's because I don't have a hat. That has to be it!

That night Barry looked all through out the store and found a new red hat. He just knew today someone would pick him, so he waited...

And waited...And waited. By the time night had come he was still there! What could have gone wrong?

That following morning the store owner cleaned and put new bows on his friends in the shop, but not on Barry. He couldn't understand why?

Why didn't I get a bow and hat? Is it because I'm bigger than the other bears or that I look different? Why am I up here all by myself anyway?

That night every last one of his friends in the shop had found their new best friends and left. He was now the last bear in the shop.

The only thing he could come up with was that the other bears had hats AND bows. So he looked around the shop and found a pink one. Since he was the only toy left he had to get picked tomorrow! Right?
