Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Nox. Nox lived in a cute little town in the forest at the bottom of a mountain.

One day, Nox was on a walk in the woods and met a boy from another village. His name was Lumos. Lumos was red in the face and had tears in his eyes. He seemed very upset.

Nox tried asking Lumos what was wrong. But he gave her an angry look and yelled, "Go away! Leave me alone!" And then he ran down the forbidden path into the dark part of the forest.

Nox was scared of the forbidden path. But she knew that Lumos would get lost if she didn't find him soon because only people from her village knew how to find their way out. So she asked the fireflies playing nearby in the bush to help her find Lumos.

The fireflies were very bright. They lead her down twists and turns. They giggled and sang the whole way. After a little while they found Lumos hiding inside a tree.

"What is wrong, Lumos?" Nox asked. Lumos apologized for yelling at her and told her about how his parents are ill in bed. He wanted to make them some soup so they would feel better, but he doesn't know how to cook. So, he was angry. Nox understood. The same thing happened to her when her mom was sick. Her father had made her mother better by making her their villages special soup. So, Nox came up with a plan to help Lumos.

"I forgive you for yelling at me. I understand what it's like to get frustrated when I try to do new things. Sometimes you just need a little help," said Nox. She offered to help him and make his parents some of their villages special soup. He cried some more, said thank you, and gave her a hug.

Lumos lead Nox to his home. Along the way Nox showed Lumos ingredients throughout the forest that she knew can go in the special soup. So they picked some mushrooms, flowers and herbs. Then they stopped in her village to get some meat from the butcher.
