Loretta Hen has been playing on the front porch for quite some time.

Farmer Bob has been working in the garden all day hoeing his tomato plants.

Farmer Bob calls to Loretta Hen, "It is almost 4:30, you will be wanting to get to your coop for the night."

Loretta Hen is ready to go as she always heads for her coop at 4:30. "Cluck, cluck," answers Loretta Hen.

Just as Loretta Hen steps off the front porch, the rain begins to fall.

Farmer Bob not minding the rain starts the march to the coop when he notices Loretta Hen isn't following him as usual.

Farmer Bob tries again and again to get Loretta Hen to follow but she just clucks and clucks!

Cluck, Cluck

"Hmmm," says Farmer Bob, "Loretta Hen must not like the rain, I have an idea!"
