Duck was finally on vacation. He was eager as a beaver for some new adventures. He read the section in the newspaper titled “Places You Know You Want to Go.” He made a list. He had something interesting to do for the next six days. On the seventh day he would go to Harper’s Barber Shoppe. His hair was starting to look like a yellow shaggy mop.

On day one he went into Liam’s Very Fine Gem Museum. On display were rare rubies from Aruba. Duck didn’t know it but he was standing too close to the brightly-lit cabinet. Before he could take a picture, the curator yelled,

BACK UP DUCK!
So he did. No picture for Duck.

On day two there were dark clouds. Duck ventured out to the Port of Air Airport. The Prince of Pierre was planning on landing his new purple plane. Maybe in the rain. Duck didn’t know it but he was standing too close to the runway. The Ground Marshall yelled,

BACK UP DUCK!
So he did. No landing for Duck.

Day three was sunny and Duck woke up without an alarm. He surely wanted to see bees making honey at Mahoney’s Brown Bee Farm. Duck liked to drizzle a wee bit of honey on top of sliced Kiwi. Duck didn’t know it but he was standing too close to the hives. The beekeeper yelled,

BACK UP DUCK!
So he did. No honey for Duck.

On day four Duck went the distance to Pickett’s Thickest Forest. He had a wish to see toothpicks get made from start to finish. Duck didn’t know it but he was standing too close to the saw. The lumberjack yelled,

Pickett's Thickest Forest
BACK UP DUCK!
So he did. No toothpicks for Duck.

Day five Duck was going to spend many amusing minutes at Spinnet’s Coasters and Slides. He was hoping to be brave enough to get on the humongous Loopy Loop Roller Ride. He waited his turn. Duck didn’t know it but he stood too close to the tracks. The ride attendant yelled

BACK UP DUCK!
So he did. No Loopy Loop ride for Duck.
