To Ms. B thank you for being such a great teacher these three years. I will miss you.

It was a sunny and beautiful day at Northstar middle school, the kids were playing in the yard and the teachers were getting ready to give classes. RING!! The bell rang and so all the kids went to their assigned classes ready to learn.

Ms. Andrea was the teacher of 6-A a class full of wonderful and smart children including Olivia, Josh and Emma. The three of them had been friends ever since primary and this year they were all in the same section.

Olivia Josh and Emma were in English class and they were all talking about the new and cool iphone 7! They were all very excited, well everyone except Olivia. Josh and Emma then suddenly realized Olivia had the older model of the Iphone.

“HAHAHA why do you still have that junk? Buy the new one, duh!” said Emma laughingly at Olivia.
“Well I already have this one, but I am planning on getting the new one very soon.” said Olivia, feeling embarrassed.
Olivia felt sad and upset because Josh and Emma had started to laugh at her old phone.

Later that day, Olivia went home and begged her mother for the new Iphone.
“Mommy please, can I get the new iPhone please, I would do anything to have to have it. How come everyone has it except me!?” said Olivia to her mother.

“Olivia Honey I know you want that phone but these types of electronics can cause illnesses in the future. Not only that but they are big distractions from your school work, but all the models look the same. Sorry, honey! I am not buying you that phone,” Said Olivia’s mother.

“MOM! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! I BEG OF YOU! I. NEED. THAT. PHONE!” cried Olivia.
¨I already said no, Olivia. I am not changing my mind about this!” said her mom.

Olivia cried on her way to her room and continued to do so for the rest of the day, all because of a phone. Olivia was very angry and sad because of what her mother had said to her.

The next day Olivia went back to school and to hearing Josh and Emma speak about their new Phones. It was all they could speak about and that only made Olivia sadder because she know she wouldn’t ever get that phone.

“So Olivia where is your new phone I don’t see it anywhere?” asked Emma, giggling.
“I don’t have it today but my mommy said she would buy it for me soon,” lied Olivia, but Emma seemed uninterested as she rolled her eyes and went back to talking with Josh.

Olivia felt left out and alone because they would not talk to her. A very sad and upset Olivia, sat at her desk and did her work quietly. Ms. Andrea saw this and thought it was unusual as Olivia was always very talkative and happy in class.

So she told Olivia to stay a little while after school because she wanted to speak to her. When Olivia heard this she got very nervous because the thought that she was in some kind of trouble with Ms. Andrea.
