Long ago, a giant sea monster known as the Meester Stoor Worm rose out of the sea. It was said that the Stoor Worm’s body stretched halfway around the world. That its one eye was as red as fire. That its breath was poison to all living things.

Every day it moved closer to America.

The President of the United States asked a local sorcerer for help. He said “You must give your only daughter, Margaret Truman Daniel, to the Stoor Worm,” said the sorcerer. “Only then will it leave."

The President went pale. Margaret was kind, gentle, and loved by everyone. “Is that the only way to save my people?” he asked.

“It is the only way,” the sorcerer said.

The President knew the sorcerer was serious. But he wasn’t ready to give up his only daughter

The President sent a message to all of America: The man or woman who can kill the Meester Stoor Worm will get the rights that he or she wants and Margaret Truman to stand by his or her side in full support. The President was excited when all of his soliders came forward.

But as soon as they saw the monster, they all ran away. The President was sad.

He knew his daughter had to be offered up to the Stoor Worm.

There was great grief throughout the country

On the day before his daughter would be offered to the monster, a Memphis Baptist Preacher went to City Hall. His name was Martin Luther King Jr..

All his life Martin Luther King Jr. wanted to be a great hero and get his message out to the people.

He was determined to defeat the Stoor Worm and save Margaret.
