The Story of Saint Paul by Karina Lebron.
Dedicated to Sr Gertrude.

Chapter One: Paul The Jew
Paul was a pharisee or strict member of the Jewish sect. He had witnessed Stephen being stoned to death. Stephen was a man filled with the Holy Spirit that spread the word of God. The other Jews tried to argue with him but they couldn't stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke. They spread rumors that he preached against God and Moses. Paul approved of their killing him.

Chapter Two: Paul's Conversion
Paul met the Lord on his way to Damascus to persecute or torture the Christians. Jesus appeared to him and explained that when he persecuted the Church he was persecuting the risen Lord as well. Jesus told him to get up and go to the city and Paul obeyed. The experience left him blind. He was led into the city to meet Ananias. Ananias laid hands on Paul and healed his temporary blindness. After his conversion, Paul believed that Christ was the anointed Messiah and began to preach about him.

Chapter Three: Paul And The Jews
Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.” Paul and Barnabas disagreed with this, along with the other believers. They questioned the Council of Jerusalem about it. The apostles and elders who were in the Council of Jerusalem considered this question. After some discussion, Peter got up and explained that God doesn't discriminate because he gave the Holy Spirit to the Gentiles as well.
