Samuel is a great hunter, or woods runner. He knows many animals, animal tracks and his way around the woods. When ever he goes farther than he last was he marks the trees he goes by.

One day when Samuel was out hunting for food for his family he saw smoke in the distance. he ran back to his house to see if it was his house on fire.

where everyone !!??

When Samuel was hunting he saw smoke coming form his village. He ran back to the village and saw that it was completely gone. He went around to see what he could find and he could only find dead body's and tracks from a wagon. He wanted to see were they led. He also saw foot tracks from leather shoes.

Samuel saw the tracks in the village and he decided to follow them. Samuel kept walking on the trail and following to the tracks when he found the British troop that had his parents.
