It’s a cold, wet and dreary night in a small
town in Oklahoma. The mood of the small
town is altogether sorrowful. A group of teens
with nothing to do in the small town on a
Friday night decided to go explore the woods.
They came to an old grave yard where they
had heard scary rumors about when they
were all children. They all seemed to be
enjoying themselves except Jordan, she knew
something wasn’t right about this place but
just figured it was the silly stories she would
hear about the grave yard when she was
younger. So she thought nothing of the eerie
feeling she had and continued on with her
friends.

When all the kids had
dispersed from the grave yard
and Jordan was left to walk
home alone, that same eerie
feeling had come back. She
never felt threatened in this
small town but tonight she did.

Jordan felt relieved to be home, her
mom throwing a party with family and
close friends. She relaxed and began to
mingle among herself. Hearing a knock
at the door she assumed it was late
party arrivers. When she opened the
door expecting a friendly face, to her
consternation, there was no one near
her house. Perplexed, she shut the door
in doubt of weather what she heard had
even been a knock.

When her mother’s party had begun to die down and
all of who was left three of her aunts, her mom, and
herself Jordan told them about the strange knock at
the door and her mother looked at her with a look of
concern and asked where she had gone tonight.
Thinking her mother was dismissing what she had
just said she repeated herself. But once again her
mother had asked her what she had done and where
she had went that night, but with a more serious
tone to her voice. Taken aback, Jordan told her
mother about the grave yard she had gone to and
waited impatiently for her mother’s response.
