The first way of moving is underground.It is one of the most popular means of transport ,because it is cheap and the people can arrive in any places of London.Underground have 11 lines and works 20 hours per day.Tickets can be purchased from ticket machines and ticket offices at all stations.

Facts about underground:
1.The London Underground is the third busiest metro system in Europe, after Moscow and Paris.
2.The Underground employs approximately 19,000 people.
3.The oldest underground line in the world is the Metropolitan line, which opened on 10 January 1863.
4.The air in the underground is on average 10 degrees Celsius hotter than the air on the surface.

The second way of moving is by bus.The London Bus is one of London's principal icons, the archetypal red rear-entrance AEC Routemaster being recognized worldwide.London have over 17 thousands of buses which are moving across all city.In London there are 2 types of buses:compulsory and request.
People like to use this type of transport ,because it is more convinient to see all the beautiful places of the city.

Facts about buses:
1.Before 1907 London buses were in different colours to signify their route.
2.During the First World War some London buses were modified to transport carrier pigeons.
3.The first London bus service was established in 1829 and ran between Paddington and Bank. It carried 22 people and was pulled by three horses.

The third way of moving is by tram.Tramlink trams run every 10 minutes in the daytime on Mondays to Saturdays to Wimbledon, Elmers End and Beckenham Junction and about every seven minutes to New Addington.
Facts about trams:
1.There have been two separate generations of trams in London, from 1860 to 1952 and from 2000. There were no trams at all in London between 1952 and 2000.
2.The first generation of trams in London started in 1860 when a horse tramway began operating along Victoria Street in Westminster.
