"The Talking Toucan" is a children's story that is set in a place called Paradise. It is about a beautiful bird who takes advantage of all the other birds. The birds look up to him because he is beautiful. Due to his selfish nature, the other birds realise the type of bird he is and they abandon him. Percy the Peacock arrives in Paradise and teaches the toucan that virtues are very important. The toucan learns and changes his ways. Paradise becomes a beautiful place that it was at the beginning of the story. Many children in Kindergarten may not know what virtues are and why they are important. Children in Kindergarten are young and innocent. Since the children are in Kindergarten, they would learn and use positive values that the peacock has, rather than the negative values that the toucan possesses. They would also learn that if one makes a mistake, it is okay because no one is perfect. It is normal to make a mistake. If one makes a mistake and learns from the mistake, then that is positive. Hopefully, one does not repeat the mistake. This is a good story for young children because it teaches them virtues.
