Nicolas wanted to play fetch with his dog. He threw the ball and it rolled away very far.

The ball rolled to someone Nicolas did not know. "I am the Vowel Visitor," said the strange visitor as he threw the ball.

"I am lost and I need your help. Can you help me get back to my home planet?" asked the Visitor.

"Don't worry, I can help you!" said Nicolas. They took turns throwing the ball.

"I have to turn left every time I see the special stars. I need your help to decide where I should turn!" said Vowel Visitor.

"When the name of the star has an a with a silent e at the end, that means the a will say its own name," he said.

"Those are the long a stars. I have to turn at those stars," the Visitor explained to Nicolas.

Nicolas was happy to help his new friend get home. He knew his friend must be scared since he was far from home.

The Vowel Visitor got in his space ship and flew into Outer Space.
