Once upon a time, a very poor woodcutter lived in a tiny cottage in the forest with his two children, Hansel and Gretel. His second wife often ill-treated the children and was forever nagging the woodcutter. The woodcutter finally succumbed to peer pressure and agreed to leave them in the woods. The next morning he gathered his kids and went to the forest. He made an excuse to leave and left his kids in the woods. But not far away there was a nice lovely witch named Rosina.
She was an old woman, had mental issues and her house was made of candy but the candy and other food except for people were cursed for the old witch to eat. but it was normal for everyone else. The kids stumbled across the house and saw the old lady. Rosina thought right away that there was food that she could finally eat and not get cursed.
Rosina invited the children in and said they could live with her for a few nights. Hansel and Gretel said ok and went inside. She told them to wait in the oven because she had to get something from town. She left the room She turned around and said, “I’m BACK!!!!”.
Hansel and Gretel said "do you have any food that we could eat"? OH no, I really don’t have anything to eat. Said Rosina. But I mean you could eat my some of my house but, my house is made of candy. I’m warning you might get fatter but you should not be hungry anymore.
