This book was written by Ms Marzo's group of students of ICS Calimera and illustrated by Ms Liappi's group of students of 51st Junior High School of Athens.
It is said that St Vito’s stone was originally in the centre of Calimera and that one day some inhabitants of Martano, a small village near Calimera, tried to steal it because they were envious of.
They tried to load the big stone onto an ox-drawn carriage but thanks to its divine power it became so heavy that the thieves left it on the border of the village.
Some years later, in that same place, a small church was built around the perforated stone and it was dedicated to St Vito.
