I once had a friend that was very close to me. However, he lost himself faster than I could count to 10. As children we always used to play in the front yard with one another. Now he resides to the streets.

I actually feel very bad that he does this to himself. His parents always gave him what he wanted. Maybe it wasn’t good enough to him, I don't know. If I was given the opportunities he was, I would’ve ran with them.

It was a warm summer day, and my friend Brad wanted me to come over again. “Hey you wanna smoke again?” he asked. “Nah I think I got better things to do” I replied. Even though I really didn’t, I just needed an excuse so he wouldn’t get triggered.

Ever since we were children he has had a short temper. Little did I know that temper would lead to my friends downfall. The very next week I went over to his place, and his Girlfriend Sidney was over. I was never very fond of her because she cheated on him twice, which made me question if my friend was still sane or not.

Later that night a huge fight broke out between my friend, and Sidney.
“You’re cheating on me with some stupid hoe again, huh brad?!”
“No” me being an idiot I interrupt what my friend has to say.
“Yo, Brad has given everything he possibly could, and you still don’t trust him?!”
“Shut up Tim, that’s why people like you are single” Sidney responds
“You really think I give a F$%K about being single?! I’d rather be single than be with somebody like you!”

My friend then rushes up the stairs and grabs the nearest glass cup, and slams it over his head. His mom was in awe of what happened, but Brad seemed to be alright. “Mom, I think you should take Timmy home now!” Yelled Brad. That’s when I took it upon myself to gather my belongings.
”

After gathering my belongings, I then proceeded to leave his house on my own terms. Within the span of a couple weeks Brad, and Sidney ended up breaking up because she cheated on him with some guy named Tyler. I knew Tyler, and he was kind of an idiot so I was never very fond of him either.

As of right now me, and my friend Brad don't talk that much anymore. Sometimes it's better to walk away, than stay and suffer the consequences. However, Brad was a brother to me. He is somebody I will never forget.
