Darby and Patrick are visiting Argentina for the first time. They are going to meet up with some very good friends who moved from the United States to Argentina a few years ago, Josh and Leah. They are excited to learn the famous Argentine Tango dance, to eat carne asada, and to visit and sight-see the historical sites and museums.

Darby and Patrick go to a delicious restaurant called La Florencia, and have a delicious argentine meal of empanadas, carne asada, and a salad.

Then they go to a beautiful Tango performance.
"We should definitely take Tango lessons while we are here," Darby suggests.
"That's a great idea," Patrick agrees. "Hey, isn't it almost the time we were supposed to meet Josh and Leah at that one park?"
"Oh, you're right! We'd better hurry and find it," his wife answers. "I think it's supposed to be pretty close around here." They set out in search of the Plaza de Independencia.

Darby and Patrick are having a lot of trouble finding the Plaza de la Independencia, and so they decide to ask a friendly-looking stranger they see walking by.
"Excuse me," Patrick says in Spanish, "But could you tell us the way to the Plaza de la Independencia? We're meeting some friends there, and lost our way." The man smiles and introduces himself as Mario Luconi, asking about how they are enjoying their visit to the city. Darby answers that it is a beautiful city, but somewhat impatiently asks for directions again. Mario doesn't seem to notice their hurry, but continues visiting with them until finally giving them some simple directions to the plaza. Patrick and Darby thank him, and then hurry in the direction he had indicated.
The two follow the directions that Mario had given them, but do not find their destination. In fact, they are now more lost than ever.
"You know," says Patrick with some annoyance, "I think Mario gave us bad directions. I'm sure we followed exactly what he said." Darby frowns and agrees, saying, "Why in the world would he want to send us on a wild goose chase?"
"Probably just thought it was a good joke to send some American travelers running around and making them late," Patrick says cynically, as he thinks about keeping their friends waiting, but is embarrassed and reluctant to let their friends see his lack of orientation skills.
