stranger danger

Deep in the woods
And high on a hill
Was a sleepy, little town
Called Grandeviille

Here lived Ms. Hilda
No one's smarter than she
When folks had a question
She's the one they would see

Zoom

One stormy night
A stranger arrived
He was tall and dark
And a hat hid his eyes

He carried a box
Now what could it be
And who in their town
Was he going to see

Stranger
Stranger
Who?

He came early one morning
Not making a sound
But it didn't take long
For the news to get around
Strangers were few
And so rare in this town
That the news of his visit
Was passed all around

What is a stranger
The children asked dad
We've never seen one
Are they good or are they bad

The children looked worried
Dads tried to explain
But when they got through
Still questions remained
Lets go see Ms. Hilda
She'll know what to say
So, they followed a path
And went on their way

They soon reached the shack
That was clear across town
It was beautiful with colorful
flowers all around
