This book is dedicated to one of America's founding father, inventor, writer, and diplomat Benjamin Franklin, thank you for all you did for The United States of America.

I, Benjamin Franklin was born on January 17, 1706 in Massachusetts Bay Colony, today known as Boston Massachusetts. I was my father's 15th child. My father, British Josiah Franklin who was a soap and candle maker had 7 children before marring my mother, Abiah Folger with who he had 10 more children.

I was a good student at Boston Latin School and learned to read at a young age, unfortunately at age 10 I had to drop out of school to help my father at our family business making candles. When I was 12 years old, I was apprenticed to my brother's print shop. Where I gained experience in publishing.

My brother mistreated me and did not let me write for the newspaper like I wanted, so I started writing under the name "Silence Dogood." My brother got angry at me when he found out he published my letters and poems.
When I was 17, even though I was contracted to work for my brother until 21, I decided to run away to Philadelphia where I found a job and eventually open my own print shop.

I was not only a a diplomat, but also a statesman, scientist, inventor, postmaster, and and author.

Some of my major inventions were the Franklin Stove, bifocals, armonica, rocking chair, swim fins, American penny, and flexible catheter. Plus my experiment with a kite-and-key, demonstrated that lightning is electricity.

I married Deborah Read and had 3 children, William, Sarah, and Francis who died at age 4 of smallpox. I did not see my family often because of his work but communicate with them often writing letters to them.
Some of my major political accomplishments were writing the draft for our Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, elected to the Pennsylvania Assembly, and Diplomat to France.
