Anatomy
3nd hour

Its a network of nerve cells and fibers that transmits nerve impulses between parts of the body .

Why is the nervous system
important?!
Its responsible for the control of the body and the communication among its parts.

Brain, Spinal cord, Sensory organs, And all the nerves that connect to each other and the rest of your body.

What could happen if we didnt have a nervous system?
Without our nervous system you would become brain dead and eventually die, since your nervous system controls everything.

There are 2 different parts of the nervous system

Structurally the nervous system has two components.

Here is an example of what the main organs from the nervous system look like.

The first component is the central nervous system which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, nerves.

The second component is the peripheral nervous system which is made up of the sensory neurons and the nerves that connect to each other and that connect to the rest of the central nervous system.

Functionally the nervous system has two main subdivisions.
