Enjoy the second of many adventures with Apache.

All was quite as

Thea Mae slept

But she had dreams of her

friend Apache

Swirling round in her head.

Then all of a sudden she heard

Clip! Clop! Clip!

And there was Apache

at the end of her bed.

Wake up from your dreams

Apache Neighed

And I will take you and kitty

To a land far away!

So Jump on my back

and hold on tight!

Let's all fly off on an

adventure tonight!

With A swish of his tail

And a flick of his head.

Apache took Thea Mae and Kitty

flying instead!

Thea smiled with such Glee!

Where are we going Apache?

What will we see?

To the Australian bush

Were the animals roam free.

This is our adventure

For Just you, Kitty and me!

Thea Mae squealed...

Apache who is that?

That is a Kangaroo

as a matter of fact.

Do you see her baby

He's called a Joey!

he lives in her pouch all warm and cozy.

The Kangaroo

loves to jump really high

and with every bound she tries to touch the sky

Using her tail

so thick and strong

Let's see if we can

hop along!

Apache do you see

over there by that log?

It looks like a lovely

yellow dog.

Well yes Thea Mae he may look like that

But that is a Dingo

A wild dog in fact!

The dingo is a native

of the Aussie bush

but he doesn't say

Woof Woof Woof

He will howl to the sky

along a winding track

calling to his friends that

are in his pack.

Apache look there is a hole in the ground

But I think i see something moving around

That is a Wombat Apache neighed

And that is his burrow where he likes to stay!

The Wombat is such a likable chap

He may walk a bit slow

and look a little fat

But don't be tricked by his outward disguise

He is actually immensely strong

And very wise!

Apache Look over there

I See dust flying everywhere?

That is an Emu off on a run

I think we should join her

for a bit of fun?

So hold on tight Thea Mae

and let's go for a gallop

with her today!

The Emu is a bird

that cannot fly

but can run really fast and is not very shy.

Her big long legs stride over the ground

And she is the fastest in

this land.

Oh Apache

Do you see what I see?

I think he is looking

straight at me.

That my friend is A

Crocodile

But don't be tricked by his great big smile!

The Crocodile is a such a unlikely chap

to stop and ask for a friendly pat.

So I think we will just

tip toe away

and wish him a very pleasant day!
