Aaron everyday prayers
Aaron wakes up and prayes in his house. jewish people have to pray 3 times a day once in the morning once in the afternoon and once at night. some jewish people are more dedicated to praying everyday than others.
jewish people worship at a place called a synagogue. a synagogue is led by a knoledgable member most often it is led by a rabbi. in the synagogue service it includes readings from the torah and prophet. the torah is the jewis laws and the prophet is the jewish scripture

Abraham and god began Jewish history in 1812.
It began in the bronze age in the middle east. it is now mainly practiced in Isreal and the united states. Once they settled in the middle east Moses gave the Jewish people the Torah or the Jewish laws. The laws consisted of the 10 commandments.
Yom Kippur
Jewish people belief that there is only one god.
They belief that the god still works in the world and built the universe. They also belief that everyone can have their own relation ship with the god.
Rosh Hashanah
Aaron and his family celebrate Rosh hashanah in September from the 20th to the 22nd.
It is considered the birthday of the universe and the day god created Adam and eve.
Yom Kippur
Like the next week they celebrate Yom Kippur from the 29th to the 30th in september.
Yom kippur is the Jewish day of communal and personal atonement for sins during the last year.
Bar/bat mitzvah
When a boy turns 13 they become accountable for their actions and become a bar mitzvah. when a girl turns 12 the same thing happens but she becomes a bat mitzva
at this time they are ready to observe religious practices and take part in public worship. The boy and girls are considered adults now. Jewish people sometimes celebrate by spending time with family.
weekly Sabbath
The weekly Sabbath is commanded by God. Every week religious Jews observe the Sabbath. it is the Jewish holy day it keeps its laws and customs. The Sabbath begins at nightfall on Friday and lasts until nightfall on Saturday
during this time familys come together. they dress up, light candles and have food to eat.
