The fox grew hungry and he couldn't wait another minute to catch the big, juicy, rooster he craved. He leaped towards the rooster begging him to sing so he can catch him off guard. The fox knew that when Chanticleer sings, he does not pay attention to anything else.

Oh handsome rooster! I mean you no harm! Please sing to me with your angelic voice!

The flattering words of the fox deceived Chanticleer into singing. All the animals gathered around as soon as they heard his beautiful voice. Chanticleer became blind to his surroundings because he loved boasting.

The fox knew that was the perfect opportunity to grab the rooster. As soon as Chanticleer looked away, the fox ran towards him and held him by his long, red, neck. Chanticleer told the other animals to call the fox disrespectful names. He used the fox's tactic against him.
