This book is dedicated to Ms. B's second grade class. LETS RULE MEASUREMENTS!

There are four tools used to measure items we use everyday. Can you guess what they are?

The first measuring tool is a ruler. Rulers have two different measurements. One side has centimeters and the other side has inches.

Rulers can be used to measure small items like coins, pencils, candy, and bugs like worms. This quarter is 5 centimeter long or 2 inches long.

The second measuring tool is a yardstick. A yardstick can be used to measure items up to three feet long. Yardsticks also show two different measurements. One side has inches and the the side has feet.

Yardsticks measure items longer than a piece of paper, but not too long. Cloth, fabric, and the length of tables and desks are measured with yardsticks.
