To My Dad

Hi, my name is Jack and I am what they call an excellent employee. People call me that for many reasons. One of them being how I dress when I go to work. I dress appropriately. I am well groomed meaning my hair is clean and neat, my suit is the correct size and fit, and my shoes & tie match my outfit.

My name is Scott and I am what they call a bad employee. People call me a bad employee for many reasons. One of them being how I dress. I dress casually. I am wearing a t - shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes. All of these clothes are not right for the situation or job. That is one of the reasons I am a bad employee.
When talking to his employees, Jack makes a memorable entrance, keeps eye contact, he introduces himself, and has good body language. Jack also has a professional and strong handshake & he remembers names. All of this is good workplace etiquette. A big way Jack has good workplace etiquette is because he is polite. One example of Jack being polite is he holds the door for other employees. Good workplace etiquette is another reason Jack is an excellent employee.

"Here, I've got that for you.
Thank you!
Scott on the other hand does not have good workplace etiquette. That is another reason he is a bad employee. Scott is not polite and when he talks to his employees he doesn't make eye contact, he doesn't introduce himself, and he has bad body language. Scott goes on his phone at work during meetings. If you didn't know already, workplace etiquette is a code that governs the expectations of social behavior in a workplace. Scott breaks that code a lot. Scott has bad workplace etiquette which adds to the list of why Scott is a bad employee.

"Do you think you could get off of your phone, Scott?"
Jack has good employability skills. Employability skills are skills needed by an individual to make them good for a job. One thing is that Jack is very good with working in groups. He's good with teamwork. He's also always on time, he's organized, dresses nicely, is a good communicator, and he is respectful. Every morning at 7:30 he wakes up to get ready so he can be at work by 8:45. That is an example of Jack being organized and on time. Jack was and still is very employable and he has good employability skills which is another reason he is an excellent employee.

"7:30! Time to wake up so I can get to work on time."
