Democritus was a Greek philosopher that was born somewhere around 360 b.c .Democritus thought that if you keep cutting an object over and over again you will eventually get to an atom. Democritus believed that atoms were connected together like Velcro.
Democritus had lots of haters because of rank of scientist. Thanks to Democritus we know of the "Atom".
Democritus
Fun Facts-
Democritus was known as the laughing philosopher.
After Democritus major discoveries he became a science teacher.

Antoine Lavoisier-
Born: August 26, 1743, Paris, France
Died: May 8, 1794, Paris, France
Antoine Lavoisier was a french chemist in the 18th-century who developed an experimentally based theory of the chemical reactivity of oxygen and coauthored . He established the Law of Conservation of Mass, which states that matter can not be created or destroyed.

Lavoisier was born in a wealthy family with connections . His mother's death early lead to the inheritances of money to Lavoisier. this inheritances provided a great education opportunities.
laviosiers mother passed when he was just so young.

Joseph Proust-
born: September 26, 1754
died: July 5 1826
Joseph Proust was french chemist. He was known for his major discovery of the Law of Constant Composition in 1794 .His discovery states that chemical compounds always combined in constant proportions. Without Proust, we would be no where.

John Dalton-
born:(1766–1844)
John Dalton was an English chemist and physicist . He is best known for proposing the Modern Atomic Theory and for his research into color blindness, sometimes referred to as Dalton-ism in his honor.
Beliefs -
1) All matter is made of atoms. Atoms are indivisible and indestructible
2) All atoms of a given element are identical in mass and properties
3) Compounds are formed by a combination of two or more different kinds of atoms.
4) A chemical reaction is a rearrangement of atoms.

Dmitri Mendeleev
Born: February 8, 1834,
Died: February 2, 1907,
Dmitri Mendeleev was a Russian chemist and inventor. He formulated the Periodic Law, created a farsighted version of the periodic table of elements, and used it to correct the properties of elements. Mendeleev did not form the whole periodic table, but just enough to get us started .He organized the table by atomic mass.

James Chadwick-
Born: October 20, 1891
Died: July 24 1974
James Chadwick was most famous for his generosity towards science its elf. Chadwick discovers the neuron.
James Chadwick effected the science history its self so greatly.
James also started to create the fist nuclear bomb, thanks to him we are able to make mass destruction.

He anticipated that neutrons would become a major weapon in the fight against cancer.james chadwick retired in 1959 from his major discoveries.
J>J Thomson-
Sir Joseph John Thomson was an English physicist and Nobel laureate in physics, credited with the discovery and identification of the electron; and with the discovery of the first subatomic particle.
He used the plum pudding model to explain how it works. If he had not discovered the electron then we have not discovered other things , so thank you Thomson.
