Some wishes truly do come true.

There was once a lonely girl named Lacey who had no friends except the animals in the forest.

The other girls in her village would make fun of her because her only friends were animals.

She's so weird!

Her only friends are animals.

While the other kids in her village played outside.

Lacey would play with her cat mittens.

At night she would look up to the stars and pray for the other children to become her friends .

I wish I could find a friend to laugh and play with.

One night when she was looking up at the night sky she spotted shooting stars. She thought this would be the perfect time to make her wish.

So she shut her eyes tight and made a wish to the stars.
