“Love yourself—accept yourself—forgive yourself—and be good to yourself, because without you the rest of us are without a source of many wonderful things.” - Leo F. Buscaglia

Kevin was big for his age and got teased at school a lot. His classmates called him "Chubs." They were especially mean to him during gym class. Kevin would often ask to be excused so he wouldn't be humiliated for not being as athletic as the other boys.

Even though he wasn't the most talented kid, Kevin loved sports. Baseball was his favourite but he wasn't very good at it. Every time he came up to bat the other kids would yell "Heavy Hitter!" as they mocked his weight.

Kevin's favourite food was pizza. He could eat it seven days a week. He always looked forward to Pizza Night on Fridays. But not this time. He barely finished one slice before asking to be excused from the dinner table.

The next day Kevin decided that he was going to start exercising. He went for a run in the middle of the afternoon. He was gassed after five minutes. He also didn't bring anything to drink and quickly began to feel woozy. He was dehydrated and was about to pass out.

On his way home Kevin noticed some posters taped to a bunch of trees. Out of curiosity he picked one up and was happily surprised by what he read:
"ARE YOU OUT OF SHAPE? DON'T LIKE YOURSELF? DR. BORNSTEIN CAN HELP. HE IS THE WORLD'S #1 DIET AND EXERCISE GURU. COME VISIT THE DOCTOR TODAY!"
DR. BORNSTEIN'S HEALTH CLINIC

The following Monday Kevin skipped school to visit the health clinic. He took the bus downtown and headed over to see the doctor. Much to his relief the office looked professional from the outside. Despite some nagging doubts, Kevin entered the building.

As Kevin entered the building, he noticed that there was no waiting room. There was a door slightly ajar so he stuck his head in to take a look. "Hello there! May I help you?" "I saw one of your posters and would like to learn more." "Really? I mean wonderful! And don't believe what they say about me being a mad scientist. I'm not a scientist. Ha ha! Just a little medical humour."

After a brief conversation, Dr. Bornstein prescribed some pills for Kevin. "Take one of these pills each morning and you'll start to notice some changes. I actually don't own this building so I may not be here for long. Here, take the rest of these pills. But remember, only one a day."

TOUCHDOWN
After just a few days of taking the pills, Kevin could feel them working. He had dropped a few pounds, started to excel in sports, and was feeling really good about himself. But Kevin wanted more so he decided to take more pills.

Kevin had taken too many pills and began to feel very sick. His body ached, he was drenched in sweat, and he felt like he was going to faint. He dropped his knapsack and started to stagger around. Something very strange was about to happen to Kevin.

Kevin had transformed into a giant. He was as big as a school bus. And he could feel himself still growing as he made his way to school. With every step he took the ground beneath him shook. When he got to school, the other children ran in fear.

"Hey guys, where are you going? It's me Kevin." "Run! It's a monster!" one of the kids yelled. Soon everyone at the school had run away including the teachers. "Where's everybody going? And who's this monster they keep talking about?"
