every time the family would walk home they passed a poor man. the little girl always felt bad and told her parents to give him money , but they didn't listen and kept walking

what was even worse is that he had to take care of his little boy and little girl . although they had to live on the street they were still very happy and loved Christmas even tho they did not get anything

one day the little girl finally decided to give the homeless man her lucky coin

at dinner that night her parents asked her why she gave money to him. she wanted to say because she felt bad but she said nothing .

the little girl wrote in her diary that she wanted her parents to give back to the poor because they already had so much. when the parents read it they were surprised

after dinner the parents put their kids to bed
