is for Adam
Adam was the first man. He was made in God's image and lived in total unity with God and nature until the downfall of man (sin).


is for Blessed
The CCC says "God infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life." Blessed means that God has given you many things to be grateful for and/or has provided for your needs.


is for Covenant

Covenant is an agreement or an exchange of persons. God has used covenants to make promises and demonstrate his love to his people. He shows us this through Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and Jesus. The consecration of the Eucharist is also an exchange of persons.

is for Divine

Jesus is both human and divine. He is God but also was born through Mary which makes him human. Divinity in itself means out of this world or Godly.

is for Enmity

Enmity is hostility or hatred. Enmity was created when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Hatred entered the human heart. But also, enmity was put between the woman (Mary) and the snake (satan).

is for Father

One of the persons in the trinity is the Father. He called this because he is considered a caretaker of all creation. He is shown mainly in the Old Testament.

is for God

God is the creator, the cultivator, and the ruler of the universe. The trinity is the simple explanation for God's 3 persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

is for History

The type of Old Testament scripture that talks about the history of the people of Israel. Some cover periods in history and some just cover one person.

is for Isaac

He is the son of Abraham. One day, God commanded Abraham to sacrifice Isaac (to test his faith). Abraham followed through, but God saved Isaac from death and was pleased with his faith.

is for Jesus

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Old Testament and is the son of God. When looking for foreshadowing/references in the Bible's text to Jesus, you are finding the "allegorical sense."

is for Kingdom.

David's covenant with God is the national kingdom. He was the king of the kingdom.

is for Law

The type of Old Testament literature that is the mot important to the Jews. Moses is considered the author of the Law books (A.K.A. "the Torah").

is for Mediative Prayer

A form of prayer where you listen to God. It is also called meditation or mental prayer.

is for Nature

Nature is one of the ways to describe the trinity. It demonstrates the "What is it?" in the mystery of the trinity.

is for Old Testament

The Old Testament is the biblical writings that are recognized by the Church before the birth of Jesus. The writing describe creation to around 400 years before the birth of Christ.

is for Pleasure

"All sin is an exchange of an external good for a temporary pleasure." Our will and passions are often distorted for a desire temporary happiness.
