It was Christmas and there was a party at Nick's house. Nick was excited to open the presents under the tree but was told to wait.

Nick's dad said he can open the presents. Nick opened all of the presents with his name. Then he noticed something. A tiny present.

The present was for him but it didn't say who it was from. He opened the tiny present and saw a map. The map started where his house was.

Nick called his friend to help him find the treasure marked on the map. His friends name was Tim.

Tim brought one of his friends that Nick didn't know. His name was Corrin. Nick didn't want someone he didn't know to join the adventure.

Tim and Corrin talked for a few minutes and became friends and let him join the adventure.

The three went outside and followed the path the map had.

Nick looked at the map and saw that they were in the forest like the map showed.

There were two paths to choose from. Nick didn't know which way was North so he asked Tom and Corrin if they knew which way to go.

Corrin took the map and looked at it. He noticed that there was a Cardinal Rose at the bottom left and said to go right. The map's key said that they were about a quarter mile away.

When they reach the place where the X is they don't see anything.

After looking around Corrin notices an unusual mound in the ground. He notices an X on the snow.

He digs up the snow and finds 3 Gems under the snow. A Ruby Gem, an Emerald Gem and a Sapphire Gem.

They decide to share the three gemstones with each other. Corrin got the ruby, Nick got the emerald gemstone and Tim got the sapphire gemstone.
