Once there was a girl named Gabby. She was going to camp. She blessed her family and said goodbye.

She left her house thinking about her

friends at camp: Alex and Tamar.

Later that summer, one of the campers went up to Gabby and told her that Alex was spreading gossip about her.

I heard Alex talking about you earlier today. I guess she's just a bad friend. Thought you should know.

That's so mean! I can't believe she did that! I hate her.

Gabby assumed that this was because Alex wasn't raised in a Jewish home. She was very upset and decided that she hated Alex.

Tamar, a peace- maker, eventually heard these rumors and went to find Alex to resolve it, even though she usually distanced herself from fights. She heard that Alex was seen crying, and went to find her so that she wouldn't need to be alone when she was sad.

Have you guys seen Alex? I spent all day looking for her!

I heard she was crying in the main room

Tamar ran to comfort Alex, who was sad because she heard and felt that Gabby really hated her. Alex had even tried to talk to Gabby about why she was upset, but she was just ignored.

Gabby's been ignoring me for the past 3 days! She avoids me and never returns my hellos or good mornings! I heard she hates me.
