One night my mom and dad said we were going to get a new puppy! My family and I went to go see Max and his siblings. He was precious! He was black and brown with a white strip on his head, but that is almost gone now. I loved him and couldn't wait to take him home. He had to stay with them for a couple weeks to grow enough to be away from his mommy.

In the third week I went to my friend's birthday party. We went bowling!! After the party, they took me home, then my mom came outside, and guess what?...She was holding Max in her arms!!!

I was so excited! Then we went inside and my brother was asleep. Then we went in the kitchen, and my mom said "Where's the puppy?" I didn't know. We searched the whole house and couldn't find him! We finally found him under the back of the standing freezer. That silly pup!

After that was when we made a list of names for him. We had picked Gunner for a little while, but that did not fit him, so we switched it to Max.

In the morning we played fetch and then I went inside to eat lunch, then a few hours later I went to bed. Our other dog Leia crawled under my bed. I wanted the dogs to stay in my room, but my little brother told mom they were there, so they had to go back in the living room.
