I dedicate this book to children all over the world.
Always be aware of your surroundings and NEVER talk to strangers!
Please tell your parents, teacher, or a police officer if a stranger approaches you. Be sure to run to a SAFE place for help if a stranger follows you. NEVER ever get into cars with strangers.
Parents/teachers always teach your children/students about safety.

Terry's father was a police officer in his small town. The town Terry lived in was very small, and only 1,000 people lived there. Everyone knew each other and treated each other with kindness and respect.
Terry's father, Mr. Foster, was responsible for keeping the citizens in his small town safe. Nothing bad ever happened in this small town because everyone was so nice to each other.

Officer Foster, always went to the local school to teach children about safety. "Never talk to strangers," said Officer Foster. "And never ever get into a car with a stranger."
"If you are ever approached by a stranger," said Officer Foster. "keep walking or runaway."
"Always tell your parents, teacher or the local police if a stranger comes near you," said Officer Foster. "Keeping yourself safe is very important."

All the children in this small town loved Officer Foster, because he kept them safe and warned them about the dangers of talking to strangers.
Even while at home, Officer Foster, would talk to his family about safety, and he would always tell Terry never talk to strangers. "Terry, never talk to strangers," said Officer Foster. "And never ever get into a car with a stranger."
"I won't dad," said Terry.

One day, several children reported seeing a stranger in town. "Officer Foster," said Lilly. "We saw a strange looking man near our bus stop."
"The stranger asked us if we could tell him where the local grocery store was located," said Thomas. "We did not talk to him, because we remembered what you told us about talking to strangers."
"What did he look like?" said Officer Foster. "He was tall, skinny, with a funny looking mustache, and he wore a long dirty coat, a torn hat and glasses," said Sara.

"We told our parents," said Carlos. "And now my dad stands at the bus stop with us every morning, until our bus arrives," said Emily.
"I will investigate," said Officer Foster. "Thank you all for reporting him, and for giving me a description."
Soon, many of the parents were very concerned because other children also reported seeing the same stranger around town. "Officer Foster," said Mrs. Mitchell. "My son said he saw a stranger today at the park, and the stranger asked if he wanted a ride home."

"What did he look like," said Officer Foster. "James, said he was tall, skinny, with a funny looking mustache, and he wore a long dirty coat, a torn hat, and glasses," said Mrs. Mitchell.
"I will investigate," said Officer Foster. "Be sure to tell James never to talk to strangers or get into a car with a stranger."
"I sure will," said Mrs. Mitchell. "James, said he did not talk to the stranger, because he remembered what you said about talking to strangers." "James, did a great job!" said Officer Foster.
