Hi! I'm Amir, the Amur Leopard! You may have heard sciencey people say my name before "Panthera Pardus Orientalis"

And this is my mom. We are just 2 of the last 57 left in the wild. My dad was killed for his coat, while fetching food.

Leopards, like me, are carnivores. That means that we eat meat. I love fish, deers, impala, and birds.

My kind loves to live in temperate forests. A temperate forest is a forest where there are very snowy winters, and very hot summers.

We also help to limit the deer population! We eat them so they don't destroy the vegetation, which will take out many other species habitats!

As i told you before, there are not many leopards like me alive! There are only 57 left! But thanks to humans like you, you made it illegal to hunt me!
