A long time ago, you were made with love

You were an answer to our prayers and better than a hug!

You grew bigger and bigger, while inside your birth mothers tummy

Finally, God said

 today is the day 

you get to meet your family!

Your birth mother loved you, that is for sure.

She prayed for a family that could give you so much more.

She prayed really hard and asked that God would choose

A family for her baby

that would give her the moon!

At the same time, we too were praying, for His blessings as well,

To pick us out a baby, to make our family swell

Finally, one perfect day, it was time to meet you love. You were so small, so perfect, a true gift from above!

I knew that you were meant to be,                          the second I saw your face

Your smell, your smile, your cry,                          made my heart melt and ache

Before we even knew about where you would come from, we painted your room, and picked out your crib, and laughed about life to come

We dreamed of games, that we would play, like dolls and dress up too.

We would laugh at the thoughts, of what some day, might reveal about you.

You may have noticed sweetheart ,that you don't have your daddy's nose.

Mommy's lips are different too, my dear,

 but you still have all 10 toes.

Your hair might not be the same as ours, and your eyes are a little different

That's okay, you are special that way, for we know you are Magnificant!

Your big brothers Blake, Andrew, and Dallas, are also gifts from above. They love you so, and you have to know, we all fit like a glove!

So many people all around, are adopted just like you. They too are special, and one of a kind- there is nothing you can't do!

So close your eyes and dream tonight of how loved you are. You are our princess, brought from above, you are our shining star!
