Hi, my name is Pearl Primus, and i'm going to talk about my great life I had.

I was born on November 29, 1919 in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. My parents, Edward and Emily Primus, were the best they let me go to Hunter college and New York University to study biology and pre medical.

One day we moved to New Rochelle city in New York. There I became a choreographer and anthropologist. I made a dance that was called Strange Fruit. I created my own style by dancing to any song I heard. Once, I liked to make a dance to a song I liked; it was a wedding song. I expressed myself by dancing to show joy, happiness, and excitement.

My mom pushed my in to dance, so I tied, and guess what I joined the dance group at school and got the soloist part (soloist means a singer or other musician who performs be them selfs. My teach though I was really good and played me as important role in the presentation of African dance.
