To my sweet little Daisy and the adventures we share

Emma has many toys that are her friends. They go on many adventures together to many different places. Today, Miss P the piggy bank took all the other toys to the farm. They all learned about the hard work on a farm and the fun games to be played. That is, till Emma’s kitten Daisy came in and knocked Miss P off the bed ending all the fun.
Play time was quickly over as all the toys came back to Emma's room where Miss P was now broke on the floor. Daisy looked down from the bed with a yawn at the broken pig, and turned her back. Emma picked up the pieces and laid them on her desk with tears in her eyes. Daisy lazily watched her with boredom and a yawn.

So Emma picked Daisy up and looked her in the eyes as she cried, "why did you push Miss P off the back of the truck? You could have come along and joined in on the fun. Now Miss P is very hurt." Daisy wiggled and squirmed out of Emma's hands and went back to the bed with another yawn. After all it was a bed, not a truck.
A cat never played such silly games. Emma began to cry and left the room to find her mother to fix poor Miss P. The other toys sat around watching Daisy as she fell asleep.
Emma's room began to change and it grew very hot and sticky like the jungle. In the jungle it is very easy to get lost. There are big bugs and scary beasts. The jungle is no place for a small cat.

But with a wave of heat, Daisy found herself on the jungle floor surrounded by large trees that covered the sky making it dark. It grew louder as the animals danced and played in the trees, and beasts roared in the distance. Daisy jumped up with a start and looked around. She was no longer in Emma’s room, but on the cold dirt floor.

Daisy began to yell with all her might as she circled around. For the first time ever, Daisy was scared and alone. She began to wander in the dark jungle looking for any sight of home.

It was hopeless.
That is till a branch came crashing down and hit daisy on the head. Way up high in the trees was Emma’s friend Will the sloth. Daisy was shocked; Will was only a toy. How was he here and alive!
Will very...
very...
...very slowly crawled his way down to greet Daisy. He gave her a huge hug and smile, and said, “welcome to the jungle, Daisy! What brings you here?”
Daisy just stared at the sloth with wide eyes. Will sighed, “Daisy? Daisy you okay?” Daisy shook her head and began to cry. She was so very far away from home and lost in a jungle with a talking toy.

Will stared at Daisy as she cried and gave her a big hug, “It’s okay, Daisy, We’ll get you home. But we better be quick before it gets dark”. With a nod, Daisy picked up Will and placed him on her back and started off to find home. Behind them, the beasts roared.
For what seemed to be hours, Daisy and Will traveled till the seams of the earth started to fade and peel into each other. It grew hotter and hotter as the sun shone bright and the trees disappeared till there were none in sight.

Daisy began to grow very thirsty and tired. There wasn’t any water in sight. In fact, there was nothing in sight. The only thing Daisy could see was where the ground and the sky meet. She was even more lost now than she was before. Will was hanging on to her neck fast asleep. Sleep sounded pretty great to her, too, and as the heat rose, Daisy laid down for a little nap

Water came splashing down on Will and Daisy like a fire hose. Daisy jumped up, hissing angrily. Will giggled in delight. Standing above Daisy and Will were Grace and Sky. Daisy noticed their big ears and colorful spots; these were also Emma’s toys. Grace was a stuffed elephant, and Sky was a colorful giraffe.
Grace stomped over with concern, “Are you okay, Daisy?” Daisy nodded with relief; Emma loved Grace. Sky came around and gave her an apple. Daisy was so hungry and thirsty that she quickly gobbled it up.
“What brings you to the Sahara, Daisy?” asked Sky.
“Daisy is lost” replied Will.
“No worry, Daisy, we’ll get you home” assured Grace with a big hug. She picked up the tired kitten and all four of them started their journey back home. Who knew where they would find themselves next?
Time started to crawl as Daisy and the toys traveled the desert searching for home, but there was no luck. It began to grow darker and they were nowhere closer to home. As they walked, the path began to fade and peel again as the air became cool and moist.
Finally, they reached a town with people all around, carrying heavy boxes and shouting commands. They were having trouble trying to stay out of the way and not get stepped on. They ended up finding themselves trapped between two buildings as people ran about.

Daisy began to cry again. She missed Emma so much and felt bad for hurting poor Miss P. Emma was so sad, and Daisy was mean to her. The toys tried to comfort Daisy, but she could only think of Emma.
They were lost and it was going to be dark soon. There was no other hope. So Daisy curled up in a box and didn’t come out.
Grace with great concern said, “Daisy, you can’t give up. We are almost there.” “Yeah! We just need to get around the busy men” chipped in Will.
“I can look for a route and see if we can find a boat!” cried Sky. Daisy sighed and buried her head. There was no hope, she was way too far away from home, what good would a boat be?
