Hercules' Athletes have recorded in Greek mythology twelve accomplishments made by the mythical hero Hercules in order to purify him for the murder of his wife and his children, which he committed when Hera was mad.
For this purpose, Hercules went to the Oracle of Delphi and took an oracle, according to which he had to serve Eurystheus king of Tiryns for twelve years and to perform the feats he had been given. The feats he finally made were:
His first feat was the extermination of the terrible lion of Nemea, which had destroyed the entire state.
His second achievement was the extermination of Lernaia Hydra, a nine-headed monster who lived in Lake Lerne and spread the disaster to the locals. In the place of every head that was cut by Hercules, two more were thrusting, and so he was forced to cut a head by burning fire.
The third feat was the one where he caught the deer of Kyrenia with the bronze legs and the golden horns and went to Eurystheas alive.
Fourth killed Erymanthio Kapros, deserting and bringing panic to Arcadia.
The deer is yours!!!
Fifth, he cleansed the stables of Augeia, the rich king with the 3,000 oxen, the manure that had been gathered there for thirty years and the stables had been cleansed. Hercules cleared them by turning the waters of Penius and Alphaeus toward the stables, and they dragged the dung.
Sixth, he killed with his shuttles the Stymphalian Birds, which were man-eating birds of prey with bronze beaks, nails and wings, and they sailed like shuttles.
Seventh, he grabbed the wild bull of Crete that destroyed all of Crete, and he went live to Eurystheus, who was afraid and left him free.
Hercules 'eighth feat was the rapture of Diomedes' wild horses. He was the king of Vistons in Thrace, son of Mars, who was feeding his wild horses with human meat. Diomides killed him by Hercules and, taking his horses, he went to Eurystheus after he had taken them. The King of Mycenae left them freely in Mount Olympus, where they were scattered by wild beasts.
