Our Solar System includes the Sun and eight planets. It also includes several dwarf planets, and hundreds of moon. It contains comets, asteroids, and clouds of gas. The Sun is the center of the Solar System Everything else in the Solar System goes around the sun

THE SUN

The sun is the center of the solar system. it is also the largest object. (1,300,000 earths fit inside of it!)

MERCURY

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. It is the second smallest planet in our Solar System. It spins very slowly.    

fun fact: Mercury does not experience any seasons.temeperatures ranging from -170°C (-280°F) during the night to 430°C (800°F) during the day.

VENUS

Venus is the second planet from the Sun. It is the second brightest object in the night sky after the Moon.

EARTH

Third planet from the sun. It is the only known planet to harbor life. It formed 4.5 billion years ago.
