Proper Facial Expression
Some ways to develop better facial expression is by making more eye contact, and your eyebrows should move in response to an intended emotion. Your facial expression is an immediate tell as to how passionate/interested you are. For example, eye contact can be correlated to honesty.

Good Body Language

When you think of body language you are likely thinking about posture. An open posture is when the individual is sitting or standing up tall, facing the speaker, and indicating positivity or agreement. The character to the left represents an open posture because they are standing tall, open palmed, and reflecting positivity.
Who would you hire?
Given these two options, it should be rather easy for the employer to decide who to hire, based alone on body language. Put aside any age or clothing differences and look just at the body language. The man on the left is standing tall, and has a very positive facial expression. The other man has worse posture and he isn't expressing any good feelings. The man on the left has the advantage to be hired based off body language.
