Down to My Core

A normal gray December;
There's snow night and day
My breathe gets trapped like fog hanging in the air
Snow hisses down from the cold sky;
My hair is stained white
Frost is cracking my lips
Rouge faces are illuminated against the white background ;
Lights are burning bright like a fire
Newly planted trees are decaying from ice
and the day always feels like night;
This is a normal gray December
Gray December
Some words are from Gary Soto’s poem “Oranges”
At three in the morning
Red aluminum boxes
At three in the morning
pulling in from every direction
At three in the morning
Machines wheezing for the lost breath
At three in the morning
Surrounded by bodies filled with tears
At three in the morning
Three weeks after that heartbreaking three in the morning
His heart was bursting with life everyday at three in the morning
At three in the morning
I was awoken from my slumber
All pertaining to that dreaded three in the morning
Pools dripping above my face
At three in the morning
Red lights in the windows shining like suns
At three in the morning
Death rung through the air
At three in the morning
Air colder than ice grabbed my cheeks
At three in the morning
Headlights glared at the dark city
The Heart that Healed
Imitation of Federico Garcia Lorca’s style in his poem “Llanto por Ignacio Sanchez Mejias
Love: [luhv], noun and verb, plural loves., deep; connection;
passion; best friend, boyfriend, sibling, teacher, family, pets, things;
My newly painted nails; a back massage after a long day;
Hugs and roses, cuddles and kisses, and laughter and joy;
Finding extra fries in my Del Taco bag; Ice cream dates;
Opening the door to a boy standing in front of me with flowers;
Teachers who let me eat in class; Ice cold water on a hot day;
The perfect messy bun; Laughing with my friends;
Caramel, coffee, and Cold Stone; seriously funny people;
Love isn’t always what the definition says it is.
Love
"Drip, drip, drip" there goes the rain
Dripping quickly down the drain
If it's left frozen at night,
In the morning it might
Melt and leave a gigantic stain
Water
My loving boyfriend-
Sweet like honey;
Down to Earth;
My day one since 10 years old
My best friend and number one supporter;
Selfless towards others, not only me,
Pays attention to the small details
He knows me down to my core
He does little things to make me happy
Kyle William Nipper-Sebastian,
My loving boyfriend
Ode to Kyle

I dream of the sun escaping the night,
staining the horizon orange;
Roses shimmering under the new dawn
The morning dew like glass lingering to the grass
Vines dangling freely
Doves singing in the garden;
Light leaks through the windows
Golden shadows are created by
crows flying against the blue sky;
A vibrant and beautiful dream
of a perfect day

My name is Mr. Ninja
I am a Chinchilla
I am small
I am soft
I am cuddly
I am a Chinchilla
My ears are big like the sky
I am covered with black and white,
and I blend in
with the night
I am a Chinchilla
I can be wild or free
or I can be caged for show
I am sweet or fiesty
so don't try your luck
My name is Mr. Ninja
I am a Chinchilla
