Once there was a dog named Rusty. He had a free spirit and loved to roam the city. One day Rusty traveled a little too far from home and got lost. Rusty searched for his way home but couldn't find it.

While he was walking on the street, he ran into a boy named Bobby. Bobby instantly fell in love with Rusty. Bobby took Rusty home to his house on the outside of town.

Bobby and Rusty played in the living room until Bobby's mom got home. When she walked in the door, she freaked out because there was a dog in her house. She soon realized that it was the dog from the poster that she saw.

Bobby asked his mom if they could keep Rusty. His mom told him that Rusty belonged to someone else. Bobby's mom said that they had to give Rusty back to his owners. She called Rusty's owners and set up a time for them to come get there dog.
