About the Author
The book is written by Hannah Pitre, a student at Saint Thomas More High School creating a book for Principles of Biomedical Science.

Jimmy thought today was such a gorgeous day. The cheerful sun was shining bright and the animals were all out.

Then Jimmy saw his friend and realized that he had a stuffy nose and saw him accidentally cut himself with scissors. Jimmy thinks to himself, "Hmm, he inhaled a very bad virus. "

His nose hair and mucus should've protected him from inhaling the virus. But that doesn't always happen. Now the virus went through the respiratory system into the blood stream.
Let's take a look inside Jimmy's friend's bloodstream.
