Abiotic and Biotic factors
Abiotic factors (non-living things) in a tropical rain forest include temperature, humidity, soil composition, air, and many others. A few of the many biotic factors (living things) in that forest are toucans, frogs, snakes, and anteaters. All of the biotic factors are dependent upon the abiotic factors.

Places in the world
1.Daintree National Park, Australia
2.Yasuni National Park, Ecuador
3.El Yunque National Forest, Puerto Rico
4. Hoh Rain Forest, Olympic National Park, Washington
These places have the most beautiful rain forest in the world where many animal life is around with many different species and different trees.

Ecological Succession
primary succession: In tropical rain forests, flooding happens quite often from the profuse rain, After the farmer moves, secondary succession-sets in, fertilizing the soil and growing small plants and trees again until the forest, after a hundred years, has grown back.

Population growth
With just 2.5 million square miles (647 million hectares) of tropical rain forest remaining, it continues to lose an estimated 93,000 square miles (150,000 square km) a year. Although tropical rain forests now cover just 2 percent of the globe, they are home to more than half the world's living plant and animal species.
It is believed that over 50% of the world's species of plants and
animals are found in the rain forest. Amazingly, only cover 6 -
7% of the total land surface on Earth is covered by rain forest.
On average, there are between 20 to 80 different species of
trees per acre

Symbiotic relationships
For example, ants have symbiotic relationships with countless rain forest species including plants, fungi, and other insects. One symbiotic relationship exists between ants and caterpillars. Certain caterpillar species produce sweet chemicals from "dew patches" on their backs, upon which a certain ant species will feed.

Invasive and keystone species
One example of a keystone species in the rain forest is the hummingbird. Without them, many plants would not survive. The hummingbird is an important pollinator in the rain forest, helping plants to reproduce and grow. If numbers of hummingbirds decline, other species of plants will take over the ecosystem and can threaten other animals and plants to the point of extinction. In effect, the disappearance of a keystone species begins a domino effect that can threaten the entire well being of an ecosystem

Human Impact
As human population grows the need for agriculture, energy and development space increases with it. Tropical rain forests cover a massive amount of the world’s tree surface, each year over 90,000 square miles of the forests are harvested for human use. This deforestation has worried environmentalists because of the release of carbon from the machinery and the vegetation. It is believed that deforestation may accelerate the effects of global warming and transform the rain forest climate. Tropical Rain forests harbor 50% of world’s biodiversity, the massive deforestation of the forest has caused the total land mass to go 15 million km squared to about 8 million km squared, this is nearly half; it is estimated that nearly 2% of the rain forest is lost annually. Furthermore, Approximately 137 species are lost in this biome per day, including both species of plants and animals and insects.
