One day, Jesus was in a far away land teaching people about God and how to live in peace with each other.

In the afternoon, a woman named Mary told Jesus some sad news. "Your friend Lazarus is very sick and is close to death in Judea" she told him.

So Jesus started the long trip to Judea after hearing the terrible news about Lazarus.

When he got there, the family were all crying and were feeling extremely sad. "Lazarus died 2 days ago" they said. Jesus cried with them as he felt their sadness too.
