More than 1,600 years ago, a girl named Hypatia was born in a lucky family in Alexandria, actual Egypt. His father Theon was a great mathematician and astronomer who taught his daughter the wonders of the cosmos and numbers.
She was amazed and use to run through the Alexandria Museum, always looking for information to learn how the world works.
She defied the rules of that time with her studies, becoming a historical symbol in the liberation of women. At that time the girls did not have rights, they only were dedicated to taking care of the house and the family.

With the past of time, she became a great mathematician, writer, philosopher and astronomer. Hypatia proved herself to be better in mathematics than her father and others thinkers with the past of the years. For this reason her name means "The greatest".
She was very well known in her city. Students came to her and were in love of her magnificent personality, body and way of teaching.
She was beautiful as Aphrodite, but she never got interested in getting married, because she wanted to focus in her studies and in share her knowledge throughout Alexandria.

You may think that she only was great in science and language, but she also dedicated to the invention of new artifacts like...
The astrolabe, (which measure the positions of the stars) the hydrometer, (used to know the weight of liquids)
