This is the love story of Drew Bear and Olly Owl as told by Daddy Badger...

Our story begins in 2013, before our lovely couple had even met.

Drew Bear is a quiet and unassuming bear with a heart of gold. He grew up in the beautiful Mere-Elles with his family. He spends his days pottering in his garden and playing golf with his good friend Gary the Goat.

Olly Owl is a busy little Owl who enjoys nothing more than a day in the kitchen baking treats for her family and friends. Olly Owl lives in the Cosy Wood-Of-Isher with her family: Mummy Owl, Daddy Owl, 4 sister Owls, 2 brother Owls and her little niece.

Drew Bear and Olly Owl were both happy in their busy little lives but somehow felt that there was something missing...

Drew Bear got himself a job as a professional Gardener at a fancy Golf Course, where he hoped to meet lots of new people... And he did. He met lots of new people and made lots of new friends, but he still felt that something was missing.

Olly Owl decided to leave her family nest in the Wood-Of-Isher. She spread her wings and flew nearly 2,000 miles to the Island of Paphos, where she got a job looking after baby owls. She also met lots of new people and made lots of new friends, but she also still felt that something was missing.

In an attempt to find their missing piece, both Olly Owl and Drew Bear decided to find themselves a hobby... Coincidently, they both decided to take up fishing!

Drew Bear fished on weekends and on her return to the Wood-Of-Isher, Olly Owl did likewise.

One sunny afternoon Drew Bear and Olly Owl found themselves fishing on opposite sides of the same lake, 'Lake POF'.

Hours had passed with no catch before Drew Bear felt a HUGE tug on his rod. Olly Owl jumped to attention as she felt herself being pulled towards the opposite side of the lake. Both Olly Owl and Drew Bear started to reel with excitement, soon to realise that they had hooked each other.
