When You live in the Santee Native American Tribe, your daily routine may look a bit different than yours does today.

To start off the day, you would wake up and immediately help your parents start a fire to cook the day's meals.

Now that the fire has been started, the males usually go out to hunt for food, whilst females work on making houses and clothing for the tribe members.

At the tribe center, a burial ritual is taking place. The tribe members offer the dead gifts of rattles made of rock and bone and feathers to use as jewelry on their grave.

Now that it's later in the day, and the males have returned from hunting, it's time to cook the food. It takes a while for the meal to roast over the fire, but there must be someone tending to it at all times.

Now that the sun is starting to set, it's time for everyone in the tribe to meet and eat their meal. The older tribe members will tell stories to their young.

As the sun makes its way to the other side of the Earth, it's time for the tribe to go to sleep and wake up tomorrow for another day in the Santee tribe.
